Star studded gala event

TORONTO, On a weekend filled with star-studded galas and
events, Canada's Walk of Fame drew the biggest crowds in the city thanks to a
stellar list of inductees for its 2008 celebrations. In its biggest red carpet
event to date, eight inductees walked the carpet, greeted adoring fans,
graciously signed autographs and added their names to the growing list of
luminaries recognized with stars on Canada's Walk of Fame.
This year's inductees join over one hundred other distinguished Canadians
who have been honoured since the Walk's inaugural year in 1998.

- Bryan Adams, recording artist(*) - k.d. lang, recording artist
- Frances Bay, actor - The Kids in the Hall, comedy troupe
- James Cameron, director - Steve Nash, NBA star
and producer - Daria Werbowy, supermodel
- Michael J. Fox, actor and
activist(xx)

(*) Bryan Adams was an inaugural 1998 inductee but was unable to attend
the ceremonies.
(xx) Michael J. Fox was first inducted onto the walk in 2000 but was
unable to attend the ceremonies.
